Founded by Brett Baer, also known as The Jewel Dude (@thejeweldude), the brand was born out of Brett’s passion for combining art, alchemy, and personal expression through jewelry. With years of experience and a dedication to creating meaningful connections with clients, Brett transforms visions into reality, offering bespoke creations that capture the essence of both tradition and innovation.
About myself:
I'm Brett Baer. I founded Modern Mystic out of a deep passion for the art of jewelry, blending ancient alchemy with personal expression, after years of traveling the reaches of South-East Asia & India, where I delved deep into the rich tapestry of Eastern spirituality, philosophy, and yoga. These experiences shaped my path and inspired my personal and professional transformation. It was during these formative journeys that I first tapped into my inner mystic, a discovery that later became the cornerstone of Modern Mystic.
Modern Mystic combines my passion for mystical symbolism with fine jewelry design, transforming each piece into a wearable experience of elegance and spiritual depth. My journey began with designing high-end fashions in Asia and selling them at music festivals across North America, but it was Istanbul’s captivating charm that solidified my path in 2021. In this vibrant city, I quickly embraced 3D modeling and jewelry design, allowing me to bring my mystical visions to life. Now, with two successful brands and a focus on custom creations, I continue to cherish the joy each new piece brings.
